A short animated film inspired by an old Icelandic folktale, Kris the Cat tells the story of the Queen's cat who earns his place by catching mice. The lonely cat gets lost in the countryside where he is found by a little girl, who names him Kris. At the farmhouse, Kris meets Freyja, the resident cat, who was distant at first, but gradually takes to Kris, who falls in love. The Queen's Head of Household locates him and takes both Kris and Freyja back to the castle, promising to give her one of their kittens. Kris learns that love can find you when you least expect it.
